Many folks have the original series marine motors running today. We consistently return marine fuel injectors to customers for 2000 - 2003 engines. Specifically, the Yamaha marine division developed a high-pressure direct fuel injection system (HPDI) that's used on seven 2.6-liter, V6 marine engines at both 150 horsepower and 200 horsepower ratings. These engines meet year 2006 emission requirements, and deliver consistently good fuel economy in the engine's most commonly used rpm range-2500 to 5500. Yamaha claims extensive testing has proved its engines have the reliability that has eluded its competitors. Does yours still run? Enough said.
